Privacy notice
How ECI Systems handles information about visitors to this website and people who contact us. Last updated 7 October 2026.
Who we are
ECI Systems, Mossley, Greater Manchester. For anything about your data, email enquiries@ecisystems.co.uk or call 0161 820 1500.
What we collect when you visit this website
Your IP address, and the approximate location (town, region, country) and network provider looked up from it.
The type of device and browser you use, the pages you view, the time of your visit and the website that referred you.
We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we store nothing in your browser.
Why we collect it
To understand how the website is used and which services people are interested in, and to protect the website from abuse. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under the UK GDPR.
Who else is involved
Location is looked up from your IP address using IPinfo (ipinfo.io). The website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers. The site and our email are hosted by Digital Web Hosting.
How long we keep it
Website visit records are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Quick Assist callback requests
If you use Quick Assist to ask us to call or email you, we collect the details you enter (name, email address, phone number, company and message) and the address of the device you used, which we keep only to spot abuse. The request is emailed to the relevant team and handled as an enquiry. Quick Assist remembers where you are in the conversation only for your current visit, in your own browser, and nothing is kept once you close the tab.
When you contact us
If you call, email or message us, we use your details only to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and keep them for as long as that and our legal obligations require.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it, using the contact details above.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
